@hannajojoShow Hi. I would suggest you take it slow with your mare. Don't let her "get her wild" out, make her calm. Let her realize that riding is a good and un stressful affair. The first ride is most important. Make that first ride a GOOD experience. Don't ride her til you are ready. Prep is key.
Hi, Im a 14 yr old girl turning 15 soon. IM going to be braking in a (around) 7 yr old mare, were not sure the breed, she was ridden once long ago when she was younger but since then she's been in a pature with another wild mare. IM going to try and get her riddable again but first Ive been told that I gotta get some of the wild out of her. Is this correct? Can I have some tips please?!

@angle5daysaweek a gaited horse is a horse that when it runs it picks up its front feet when it runs/trots, and they run VERRRRy smooth.
