Kiefer Sutherland's video address at the 2011 IAB Digital Video Marketplace introducing his new web series, "The Confession," and a conference session on the value of original web-distributed branded content.
Oh, and finally think how radio stations survived when T.V. hit the masses. This is what I think will save movies, and T.V. You mentioned in an interview about the Confession that you folks wanted to create high quality. It was done. When I was watching it I sent it to everyone I knew, because it was well done. It wasn't just a I watched this to procrastinate between writing papers. I actually enjoyed it, and once I got caught up wanted the new episodes released sooner.
You know what I had more from what turned into an essay, but just realize F it. I'll short to a summary, and hope it still makes sense. Find It person to fix errors, create station, join with friends, charge people a monthly, or yearly fee like Pandora, Tap younger kids to continue legacy, allow advertising through product placement and sponsoring. Each point has a specific reason, but my copying, and pasting I feel is excessive. Good luck:)
Forcing the consumer to watch ad like yahoo, or like with Barns and Noble limiting borrowing these things only irk your audience. Profitable, but it won’t be long before people create bypass, and it will cause an even larger loop of piracy, hacking, and attempts to block. This is just expensive. So 2 is create an avenue, given Confession I think you found it, but instead of being reliant on Hulu, or anyone else develop your own station like your music label.
What is going to happen is with people being able to skip commercials, business not seeing profit from traditional advertising, unless they are a large Corp, they will start trying to place their money in avenues that give profit.
I believe you’re aware with the internet, creative endeavors everyone wants for free, and in my opinion though people love enjoying them are very under appreciated. (Yes, my sister has a Master of Fine Arts, Master of English, and other friends do creative works, so from their bitching and a realization on how MBA thinking ruins movies, art, and literature.)
@GoldenErsa Purpose in doing this is he’ll fix coding issues for free if he is using service. Not sure if you’re familiar with Roku boxes, but there is a channel Roconnect, because we use it he’s fixed the coding a number of times. I could continue to gush on why my hubby is the bee’s knees and more examples of his awesome nerdiness and accomplishments.
Multi messaged, sorry I'm long winded. Instead of gushing bout how much I love your work both off screen, and on. I’ll share my idea. First, find someone like my husband, and market something to them. Reason he’s brilliant and was in a college programming class at 8, and easily passed.
