    this song just blew my head off my shoulders. The sense of "rollicking loss" the near frantic arrangement and janglingness, like "the body becoming /a shaken jar /of broken glass." Gratitude.

    hey david, this is david (that was weird...) we met in st. louis in september. i just wanted to let you know that "how to change gears on a dirtbike" is recommended by youtube if you watch "i just might pray." great job man! your music is transcending into all facets of life! hope the rest of the tour goes swell man. can't wait for the new album! viva honey boo-boo child!

    The bearded personality and tonal perfection in his live performance last night reminds me a lot of someone like Casey Abrahms.... not comparing him, because there is no one else like David Lee Mayfield.... his brilliance in his humors extends well into his music and improv on guitar... watched him last night really blow people's minds away.... I think a lot of people took for granted how great this guy was live and to be performing at such a smallish venue. I'm hooked and I know my wife is too
