Vancouver Apple Store Grand Opening

The grand opening of the first Apple store in Western Canada at Pacific Centre in Vancouver. It opened on Saturday May 24, 2008. As always, they gave away free t-shirts.

Hi My name is luiz and i was wondrring if you could let me know what does apple usually do qhen they open a new store? I am doing a uni project and i need to know as much info as i can? Do they have live bands or anything like that? Maybe some interesting promotion?

If you could let me know that would be really appreciated.

They do what you see in the video. A few minutes before the store opened, they dimmed the lights. The gate started to open and then the lights all went on and people cheered. To my knowledge, they always give away t-shirts to the first 1000 people who enter. They don't have any lower prices or anything. For the bigger stores (flagship stores) they give away bigger prizes like iPods. What else would you like to know?
