Sequential Importance Resampling (SIR) Particle Filter

The SIR particle filter (SIR PF), partitioned sampling particle filter applied to a synthetic video sequence.
In the this experiments, seven simple objects move about a noise-filled background. The goal of the experiment is to track object one, in blue, in the presence of an occluding distraction object. Note that the SIR PF and PS PF fail to recover from the distraction event, but the DPS PF is able to recover.
