This falls under the fair use clause. Here is the super rare scrolling text intro for the film that was on the Japanese laser disc. This monologue is not on any known US edition including the nice dvd by Shriek show. Enjoy this rarity

  • The producers really should have gone with this intro. It gives the film a far more menacing feel than the (for lack of a better term) "happy chopper ride" sequence that is used.

  • @FiendsInRedSatin1

you know what though if they did use this intro, it kind of counter acts the parts where they claimed that it was a prehistoric Grizzly

Uh huh, and it was written and in production before Jaws even came out. Nobody expected Jaws to become as popular and profitable as it did...

And if you're implying that Christopher George and Richard Jaeckel are bad actors... wow..... no offense, but you must have a very shallow and superficial taste.

  • What a stupid scroll that events in the movie occure in real lifle? Come on.

  • Cheezy, wheezy, or not, this film scared the shit outta me when I was a kid. I would no longer play in my backyard!

  • I remember seeing this movie, in a theater. It's pretty bad. It was "Jaws" on land. From the campground owner who doesn't want to close, even after several people were killed, to the survivor of an earlier bear attack, who gets killed (and spits up blood) attempting to kill the bear. No wonder it was full of B-actors. No A-list actor would be caught dead in it. Grizzly was released a year after Jaws, to try to cash in on it's popularity.

  • it looks like the producers were attempting to make the film look less exploitative and give context to the over the top violence in hopes of avoiding the film being cut by foreign censors.

  • Thanks for posting this, Wish it would have been put on the special edition DVD.
