I was given the opportunity to submit another live performance of "Delete You" for the Final Round of Guitar Idol III. Huge thanks to everyone who voted, and thanks to the sponsors for choosing me to go on to the final round!!
By the way, most of the song is in 4/4. I've had more than a few people ask me about odd time signatures, etc... Most of it's just really heavy/funky syncopation (like the intro), with the occasional polyrhythmic/polymetric idea thrown in.
The first low E I hit is on "one"... You can count through the entire song in 4/4, except for the break after the chromatic tapping run, which has an extra beat (5/4), and the break before the final verse/chorus, which has one less (3/4)... (Unless that's just an illusion, and the recap of the intro is actually offset by a beat... Hmmm...)
