You think the 1125R is rough?? I can't imagine what you would think of the xb12r. I really don't think its rough at all. I have one and it feels pretty damn smooth to me. I've had no issues with mine, runs great, handles great.

bigbad is clode to being right....engine size to power ratio is not FANTASTIC....but ALL BUELL's own the corners.....you cant find a bike more fun to throw side to side and with the ease they do it....no need to throw your body or knee out...just fling it over and down it goes....FUNFUNFUNFUN....again,
as they say OWN THE CORNERS...not most horsepower....

@jerseyassasin1975 I have a bit over 10,000 miles on my 08, and I never had any problems with it. It does get hot during the summer time. I have rode it as cold as 7F. to as hot as 105. If there is one thing I don't like about the bike, It will be -- It does not come with a kill switch at the kick stand, and it does not have a damper at the handle bar.

theres an 08 1125r on ebay for a buy it now $5699.00 but I am afraid to buy it and have it break. my insticts are telling me this bike is just to new and not really road tested for years. does anyone know if these bikes hold up? I have had a 99 road king that never broke down and a zx11 that never had a single issue so if I buy a buell and it falls apart I will kick myself for not listening to my insticts.

for sure, try some lead inserts for the bars, it helps some. Numb hands before long stock. Why they didnt fix that? dunno.

My XB12R was more rough than my 1125R at idle, but the 1125R seems to vibrate slightly more while moving.
It really doesn't matter though; I get way more smiles per mile on the 1125R.
Almost to 40,000 miles on mine. I'll pass that sometime in November.

NIce! I really like the buell! But unfortunately its unknown in my country...

the engine is made in Austria by Rotax. Rotax is owned by a Canadian company known as BRP. RIP Buell Motor Co. `83-`09

well, i had xb, and r1, now i have 1125r and wouldn't trade it for niether of those. 09 1125r rocks the track, it's all on the rider after that. nice vid! my 2 cents.

nice weelie
1125 is a sweet bike, but do you know where the engine is from?canada.its a bombardier engine.thats ok its a runner.but its no harley engine.
four cyl bikes fire one cyl at a time.when the 1 is up in compression stroke 4 is up on exhaust and same for 2 and 3.exept the new r1 which has a crossplane crankshaft.but never 2 cylinders at a time

actually its a buell designed engine manufactured by brp rotax. even the lead designer that now works for brp and ran the combined project with buell, was an intern at buell before he got his job in austria at brp. and you are correct it is no harley engine. heck the xb motors were no harley engine. they may have had a combined engine/transmission case like the sportsters, but most of the similarities stopped there. alot of the parts were similar but changed and just used on the buells.

to the ones bitchn about how the buells dont have enough power or are rough, have you ever riddin an 1125? the xb's and the old tube frames are rough. and i love them. that would explain why i had/have so many sitting in my garage. but the 1125 will out run many things a spec sheet says it shouldnt. i run that thing fully stock(stock tires, brakes, exhaust, full weight) in advanced class and can run down ALMOST everyone on the track. all the other bikes are race slicked and stripped track bikes
