Golliwogg (the original one from the books) was a positive character made from a negative stereotype. Like it or not, he was one of the earliest "black" characters that was able to successfully intermingle with "white" characters (the peg dolls). He wasn't an idiot like other black characters of the time, he was a bit rash but he was friendly and FUN. Wish I'd read the "Two Dutch Dolls" story when I was a little kid...

@robdiv1 yeah course they do i have a few black friends and they always pick up my really old Golly saying how cute he is and that their adorable the new onws are oh so soft as the old ones were harder due to their stuffing the company Embrace make the new ones im reading my Gollys tag also try Ebay they have everything their and best of luck ;)
