Ciuleandra-Ion Bencheci

The Model Ensemble of Music and Dance "Ciuleandra" appeared in 1996 at the State Pedagogical University "Ion Creanga" and was created by the superior lecturer - Ion Bencheci.
In 1997, the ensemble presents its first spectacles not only on the stage of the University, bat also on the stages of our Republic.
The first diploma has been obtained by the ensemble "Ciuleandra" in 1997, at the Festival -- Conquest for young Moldavian students, and is was offered for ensemble's original program.
The members of the ensemble are students at different faculties of the University and activate with a great interest and are trying to participate at the improvement of the artistic level of the ensemble.
The ensemble "Ciuleandra" is supported and promoted by the administration of the University, this one being led by Guţu Ion .
Due to this fact, the ensemble has its own national suits and is financially assured at its participation at National and International Festivals, and the members of the ensemble have different facilities.
The program of the ensemble is enriched year with new artistic numbers and this leads o a great sympathy from public and the administration of the University.
Starting with 1998, the ensemble is recommended by the National Center of Popular Creation and it participates at different International Festivals.
In 1998, the ensemble takes part at the International Folk Festival in Zagreb, Croatia.
In 1999 -- it participates at the International Folk Festival in Biala-Podlasca, Poland, and from the 12 representative countries, success and applause and the favorite of the public.
In 2000 participates at the cultural manifestation in Gaeta, Italy.
2001 -- the festival of the European Gala Performance in Ploiesti, Romania.
2002 -- the International Folk Festival for Students, in Izmir, Turkey.
2003 -- II place at the Festival-Conquest of the young students from Moldova.
2004 -- International Festival of the winter customs and traditions in Fagarash, Romania.
2005 -- international Festival in Siofok, Hungary.
2006 -- SIVO International folkloristisch dans festival, Odorrn, Netherlands.
2007 -- XXXXIth EUROPEADE-HORSENS, DENMARK.
2008 -- international folklore festival in the Turkey, Zonguldac
2010 -- international folklore festivals in the Turkey, Greece.
