'UK cops bribed by Murdoch empire, too corrupt to probe scandal'

The British Prime Minister David Cameron is calling for an investigation into allegations that victims of 9/11 were targeted by reporters. It's the latest twist to the phone hacking crisis that's engulfed Rupert Murdoch's media empire as the scandal goes global. It's claimed that journalists tried to bribe New York police officers for access to victims' voicemail. U.S. senators are also now calling for their own investigation into News Corp. Meanwhile, the British Parliament has scheduled a vote calling on the media mogul to drop his buyout plans for the country's largest cable TV broadcaster, BskyB. Most likely News Corp (or a couple individuals affiliated with the company) were paranoid that the 9/11 victims would discover they were involved in the 9/11 attacks.

Story has been out for a week plus and you still can not find ANY main stream clips on youtube.

I like how this is supposed to be good for media later in this cast.

Media already primarily comes from the AP in the US, where there is less connection between those who publish and those who make the articles, limitting liability for the media source and reducing the variety of media we are exposed to.

Media is dead and corrupt. It is a tool to reinforce and manipulate the status quo insulating the owers and exploiters wealth and power.

I LOVE how the fact that one of the initial whistleblowers on this is dead from unusual circumstances, but not mysterious.

Helluva coincedance that the week Murdoch is forced out into the public after dealing with this for a while one of the people that forced this situation turns up dead.
