Description of Video used in this video:
What, in simple terms, scientists believe about the origin of life on Earth. Christians are using arguments against atheism that are far too easily squashed, and really need to understand what the science is in order to disprove it.

Part of a superb series of videos exposing the funny stupidity of creationists and why they deserve to be laughed at. In each case the creationist statements are shown to be outrageously stupid by even the most rudimentary knowledge of science.

In this episode it is shown how Johnathan Well, fellow of the creationist organization The Discovery Institute is willing to be willful dishonesty in representing the Cambrian explosion as 'disproving evolution'. He simply omits the rather important fact that the Cambrian Explosion didn't just come out of the blue, but as a response to a stimulate, probably the relatively recent fact that the Earths atmosphere had finally swapped over from reducing (makes life tough for multicelled life) to oxidizing (good for mulicelled life). This change was thanks to about a billon years of photosynthesis on algae and the suchlike, another rather important point that Wells just ignores.

Richard Dawkins video Description:
A segment from Richard Dawkins' "Growing Up in the Universe" on the evolution of wings.

Carl Sagan video Description:
You can always ask "well then what happened before that?" The god hypothesis explains absolutely nothing; it gets us no closer to an answer. It's just a continuation of the same infinitely regressing line of questions.

Sure, use it and study - But if you don't like it, why are you typing this comment and watching YouTube in the first place? Go outside if you don't like it. Study if you have to.

So when we eradicated small pox, we made another patophysiologic effect? I hardly doubt that, as most aren't vaccined against it. While eating healthy certainly keeps your immune system healthy, it doesn't change the fact that people didn't eat more varied before. They ate more vegetables, but had less variation.

I am using it because I have no other choice but to study of it...

And Eating Healthy will make the childrens immunity system much stronger, making the disease problem, like I said before the old diseases are replaced by new patophysiologic negative effect,so bacially you didn't really do anything with advancements either.

But if you don't like your computer, why are you using it in your free time? As in, commenting on YouTube.

So your advice to children dying of disease is "Eat healthy"? It won't work - We all know this.

Doesn't matter weather I like the computer or not,I have to for studies etc.

If they have a good immunity system they won't be sick of anything, just have them eat healthy and they will be fine, keeping them inside is like holding a lab rat inside a cage...

You wanna bring evidence into this sure let's play that game.

I'll bring scientific evidence you bring...

oh yeah that's right you don't have any evidence.

One who gets his "facts" from the bible and actually thinks that the flintstones is real has nothing to bring.

Which means I win by default.

Oh yeah? And this according to christian "sources" and "evidence" if you would actually have the slightest idea what you are talking about which you don't because let's face it you have imaginary friends.

    And that's the sad part.

You would know that science has so many different ways of testing things carbon dating is only one of them. Can you name any of the others that ALSO supports the same thing? I bet you can't.

There is no young earth face reality. Where is your evidence? The bible?

Yes, very good, keep saying the same thing over again without bringing any real evidence to the table. And don't forget, the more fictional characters you can name off the top of your head, the better your argument.

Carbon dating is inaccurate because its based on assumptions. We assume that the levels of C14 in Earth's atmosphere haven't changed one bit in "4.6 billion years." Allegedly, its most accurate on plants(or not at all). That bein said, the oldest tree we know of is only 5k y/o.

I think it's better that we have children not playing outside than children dying of small pox. Also, if you don't like your computer, why are you using it?

Are you serious? Do you really think the temperature goes up by about 3 per day? Also, we use so much water to make a car - But where does what water go? It goes back into the ocean, some even clean it up. Water doesn't disappear.

Yes cooked alive as a matter of fact it's already happening, cause thanks to advancments global warming is getting more and more potent every year, the temperatures are up by 3.2 degrees C today, should it go to 6 which will be the case in less than 25 years, the temperatures will be over 50 C good enough to "cook" us alive and since thanks to the advancements it takes 28 000 litters of water to make just one car,we will be out of drinkable water in no time plus that warming...You do the math.
