I wonder if Lopez ever conceives a thought not related to race. If his show weren't all about being Mexican with only Mexican guests, he might have appealed to a wider audience and done well.

Lopez had every chance to pull in ratings. The cancelation had nothing to do with his heritage. The same thing has happened to plenty of other (white) talk show hosts; Dennis Miller, Chevy Chase, Allen Thicke, Pat Sajak, etc. and Conan will suffer the same fate if his show doesn't improve. You can't come in last place again and again and expect to be renewed.
