@Medicalstudent80 there is supporting a fellow countryperson and then there are the french. willfully distracting, trying to sway the game with a kind of mob-aggression tactic. you don't get as many "merci" "thank you" to calm the crowd anywhere else. and its not because there aren't bigger stadiums or louder fans, just that polite ones usually shut up during points and not try to distract players like its some audience participation game show. where else do you hear so many boos? not classy.
