I have RUD Grip 4X4 tire chains these snow chains have helped stay out of the ditches more than once during snow and ice storms. Great product and I will make sure that my RUD tire chains are with me if I have to travel in winter. I am not a fan of getting sliding off the road.

These PEWAG "diamond" chains are expensive but about the best available. They do need to be tightened after a few truck lengths though. Can be installed really tight and work great. Singles can be use with either side up but not doubles. Did I mention they are expensive?

Too short wheel bolts, typical German thing with alu wheels. Everything else they are looking with microscope in wheels, but not too short bolts in Mersedes-Benz and MAN. If outsider have that kind of bolts, have mercy, but when german truck, no problem.
The installation chain is just used to mount the tire chains onto the tire. This is one of the ways you can put on the chains. They can also be installed by putting the chain on top of the tire and driving onto them. The tensioning chain is built into the chain to keep the chain snug agents the tire. It is placed on the outside rim to make it easy to tighten the chains.
