This course teaches how to innovate our way out of the healthcare crisis.

The course is a graduate level elective in the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology, and is sponsored by CIMIT (www.cimit.org), the Center for Integration of Medical Innovative Technology in Boston.

Faculty from MIT, Harvard, and the affiliated hospitals join with guest lecturers to teach how to create innovative technology solutions to complex problems in healthcare. Students in the course work on projects of their own or on those submitted by industry partners and local startups with faculty supervision.

The semester-long course is taught each spring at Harvard and MIT for students registered at those universities as well as for post-doctoral fellows at the HMS affiliated hospitals. Infosessions will be held on both campuses in late November and early December.

Interested students should contact info {at} hst921.org. Companies interested in corporate sponsorship should go to www.cimit.org/industry.html. CIMIT's Corporate Engagement Program offers companies a structured vehicle to help advance the CIMIT mission and become engaged in the strategic priorities of the growing CIMIT community. Participation in HST921 is one of the benefits of CIMIT membership. For further information about industry partnership, contact slocke {at} hms.harvard.edu.
