This is much easier to do than Midna Dive. With Midna Dive, you usually have to find a corner of a barrier, position yourself correctly, then prompt Midna. You don't have to do that with Bottle Dive.

Bottle Dive works with anything you can put in your bottle. To get Bottle Dive to work, Link must be carrying something in his hands. Bottle Dive works with...

1. jars
2. skulls
3. rocks
4. crates

Bottle Dive does not work with...

1. cuccos
2. bombs (unfortunately...that is one negative part of bottle dive)
3. broken signs you might have slashed up (like in Kakariko Village)

Bottle Dive is simple to do...

1. If your bottle is empty, put water, oil, red potion, fairy, or whatever else in it.
2. Get close to any ledge carrying a jar (or any other item I mentioned that works).
3. Use the bottle.

There are a couple of negative aspects to bottle dive. I mentioned that bottle dive will not work with bombs, cuccos, small statues. The other negative aspect is that you obviously have to keep refilling your bottle(s). Whereas, with Midna Dive, you can use bomb after bomb after bomb and still have a lot of bombs left.

The spots in this video...

1. Lake Hylia on a raft.
2. 3 spots on the top of Zora's Domain.
3. City in the Sky room below Big Key room.
4. Forest Temple Boss Room (I also tried this during the boss fight which is a pain with the poisonous water. I got on one of the logs, used gale boomerang to bring a jar to me, then tried Bottle Dive...it didn't work).
5. Arbiter's Grounds Boss Room (only a few feet away from a Midna Dive spot, but still a different spot).

This doesn't work on Gamecube.

  • @logitechSDAZ nah, i'm sure, i did the infinite bomb arrows i saw some one do on the wii, and i was able to do it on the gc

  • @logitechSDAZ

    OK :D

By the way, I knew about the other stuff :P

And I bought the Gamecube version yesterday, so should be here soon, which means I'm gonna search for glitches :P

  • @RobertPL15 You can only do LJA on Wii when targetting an enemy. It has to be very slightly higher than your postion for it to work. It won't work if the enemy is lower. Sadly, you can't do LJA using the boomerang on Wii :( This is why Gamecube is the preferred method for speedruns. You can rescue only 2 monkeys on Gamecube in Forest Temple, but you have to rescue all 8 on Wii because you can't do LJA with the boomerang.

  • @logitechSDAZ

By the way, how do you do a LJA on Wii version?

  • @RobertPL15 Map glitch doesn't work on newer Wii versions. It is a huge glitch useful for speedrunning allowing you to get to Snowpeak Ruins early. It allows you to skip the fishing rod and beat the game with early master sword. In terms of playing the game normally (without glitches), the versions are pretty much the same.

Heh, lucky me, I buyed my TP which was just sent to the store, and I bought it sometime in Sep-Dec 2009, and it's still the 2006 version :P

Also, is there much difference between the 2006 and 2008 versions?
