Bernard King is a retired American professional basketball player at the small forward position in the NBA and one of the league's all-time greatest scorers. He played all or part of 14 seasons with the New Jersey Nets (1977--1979, 1992-93), Utah Jazz (1979-80), Golden State Warriors, (1981--1982), New York Knicks (1983--1987), and the Washington Bullets (1987--1991).

A 6'6" guard-forward from the University of Maryland, King played in nine NBA seasons for four different teams. He played for the Nets, Philadelphia 76ers, San Antonio Spurs and Washington Bullets.

Albert King actually had more physical talent than Bernard. He was being compared to Julius Erving, Connie Hawkins, and Marques Johnson. He was never as good any of those guy's. I think the strain of having to live up to Bernard got to him and he was being compared to those three players I named as a high school senoir. Hard for a young player to live to such comparisons.

Underrated no doubt. Has he made it to the Hall of Fame? Does anyone know? And in fact ow about his brother too? Great players for the era of basketball. I remember watching those guys when I was growing up in Philly, and they would play the Sixers. Great times in sports those years...............
