That's very narrow.
The traditional British 'Aluminium' spelling (and henceforth pronunciation) actually pre-dates any reference to the 'simplified' US 'Aluminum' which came about during the same period that in which many words were simplified, eg Humor/Humour. Also you have to understand that one language has thousands of different dialects, each with minor differences such as that that naturally evolve. And therefore a claim that one if more correct than another is completely incomprehensible.

I understand his comments were rude and uncalled for but not all Americans are "Yankee pricks". I happen to like the way that Brits pronounce "alaminium" but I myself pronounce it as "aluminum". Also, not everyone in the U.S. likes burgers. LoL xD.
