Ultimately,the mascots proved to be a huge success with kids. I initially thought they were not that great but compared to other games in other cities,Vancouver hit it outta the park. The games themselves were impressive. I was pretty anti-olympics as I knew from early on that it would be a huge financial loss for us in BC and that we'd be paying for several more decades. No net benefit economically-speaking. I am proud of our Canadian Athletes and how great they did.

For those of you who don't live in Vancouver, the Asian population is actually a majority, so the designs fit.

The mascots dont suk. i cant believe what people r sayin bout them i mean sure the olympics arnt that great but u gotta admire the mascots i mean cum on their cute. and their definetly 1st nations characters. i cant believe ppl here dont think of them as non 1st nations i mean sure their not 1st nations drawing stuff. SOO? who gives a dxxx. i sure dont care what they look like or not and neither should anybody else

Asian city my frakin chrome toaster bottom! It's suppose to be hollywood north, movies were made here. Ground breaking mountaineering adventures were done here.

well vancouver isn't a first nation city anymore, it's an asian city, therefor the stupid pokemon mascots
Yes, ask the white people only. They do represent the whole population after all.
For the record, I am from Vancouver and I like our mascots, especially Miga.
