@AkilB7 Yes I have read Sertima's book and it's very informing and I do recall him mentioning how the Spanish saw blacks being captives by natives, and how the Tainos of Hati told Columbus that Africans already came here with gold. I am going to read it again.
@mansamusa2012 Not only the coins, medallions, and statues in Illinois. The intercontinental contact that "Africans" had with other 'Africans' that were already here. The wind currents of the Atlantic Ocean that the people of West Africa used daily. Do you have Ivan Van Sertima's book "They came before Columbus?" Also there are records of Columbus even saying he saw the same people in the Americas he seen in West Africa. Even, the Spanish explorer Cortez said the same thing.
@AkilB7 I actually have that book, have not got to it yet because I got other books on my list to read first. It's about that cave in with the african coins in Illnoise right
@mansamusa2012 Not only Abu Barkari, but also check out a book entitled "The Lost Treasure of King Juba" The evidence of Africans in America before Columbus by Frank Joseph. Also, the Washita Muurs/Moors who were down in Louisiana. A large percentage of 'African' people were already in the Americas long before Europeans and the people called "Native Americans". This is our land.
The mayor was wrong! The people classified as "black" were in the Americas long before 1619! Typical rhetoric from a formalized educated fool. SMH This is why self education is so important!
@AkilB7 I bought it from Sabir Bey myself and watched it twice

@mansamusa2012 Oh ok. One more thing, are you familiar with Tariq Nasheed's documentary Hidden Colors?

@AkilB7 I believe you're right. There is an Arab document that says Abu Bakari came here way before Columbus in 1311.
