"Make Me a Millionaire," the California Lotterys TV game show, awarded 12 lucky contestants a total of $154,000 in cash and prizes on this weeks show.
The highlight of this weeks episode is not one, not two, but three Lucky Penny winners. Alma Quirarte of Whittier, Leanghuor Ly of Carson, and Amanda Rafter of Temple City all won new cars or the cash equivalent of that vehicle, a 2009 Chevy Malibu. The excited trio cheered one another throughout the segment, encouraging each other after every turn. It was fun rooting for each other, said Rafter, who plans to take the cash equivalent of the car and make a down payment on a home. Quirarte agreed: The excitement level of the game was very high.
In the Millionaire game, Hector Matute of Los Angeles took home $30,000. He said he also plans to use the money to put a down payment on a new home.
With the progressive jackpot increasing $200,000 each week, next weeks Millionaire game contestant will have a chance to win $2 million.
