Dark Souls... I love the game but the thing that I like the most is the fact that if you die it is usually your fault, usually.

Ceaseless Discharge was the boss that totally fucked me multiple times for a week until I finally gave up and went online to find an answer just to see that his weakpoint is when I have to act like a coward. Amazing design right there...

Well apparently this "one thing" is once again your fault for being a moron. lol If you can't kill him, go do something else till you level up, then come back, just like every other challenging RPG.

@pachendrix Hey, calm down a bit before calling someone a moron. It still is a bit of a poorly designed boss fight. I get what you are saying but dont forget that most people will still die in the first few times against a new boss and so it is expected that a lot of people will walk into this death trap thinking that they will have a chance to win.

@josemlopes Is not poorly designed. The idea of the boss is that it kills you in an instant at first, but the player is supposed to figure out that if you stand as far as possible and block his attack, he'll be left wide open. The fact that some people use an exploit to lead him to fall(doesn't always work), and act cowardly, has nothing to do with "it" being poorly designed. Anyways, great video and animation, even though you're making the game look bad with no real basis.

@pachendrix I am 100% sure that making him fall isnt an exploit, the boss has a specific animation when he is holding himself in one hand, the attack isnt the same as when he isnt near the fall, the developers did made the fall part of the fight.

Also, my video is a parody, no one should ever base their opinion about the game over a parody. And most people need to first fight against this boss to actually understand what is going on here lol.

@josemlopes I don't mean that you did it with that purpose. But some people will interpret it that way, specially by mentioning Skyrim at the end. Simply look at the comment below this one. And fortunately the exploit doesn't work for me, so I haven't seen him fall, and I don't think I want to either.

everyone is saying the worst strategies for this boss, the best strategy is to hide in the crevice and he'll and go to attack you from the start at which you roll back around the corner in the cravice or he'll walk around and do the same thing, by far the easiest strategy

I think that the boss fight was cool, but the idea of running away to have him fall off a cliff is fucking stupid. For a game that rewards you with growing stronger, and stronger to defeat tougher and tougher bosses, this kinda seems stupid...

i think there is a other unfair fights in Dark Souls like O&S or Four Kings but okay maybe this boss is just too hard for early lvl i beat this boss when i was at lvl 50 but good video tougth

@Antrix32 Actually I think the right way is rolling his attacks, either use dark wood grain ring or do as I did, run as fast as possible in one direction and roll the second he launches his attacks...

Actually Ceaseless is a nice boss, it doesnt become hostile until you stole his shit and when you do he 1 shots you, anyway I dont think its poorly designed, the first time I fought him took me 3 tries to beat him and I beated him by rolling and counter attacking, no letting him fall (cuz its cheap as hell and I had no Idea it was even possible) nor using the space to take cover, I think its precisely the many ways in wich you can fight against a boss one of the things that makes this game great

Don't listen to him. you're right, this bossed is very poorly designed. There is a way to kill him without him falling(by hiding behind a wall and hit his arm when it slams down near your) but that is taking advantage of AI limitations, and the proper way of killing him, making him fall down, I found was rather dumb.

if you stayed near item area and kept dodging his arm attacks.. and hit his arm while on ground, its really easy boss..
