Fingerstyle adds more control to the guitar, where a pick uses one at a time, with fingerstyle you can play three strings at once.

I'm sure she's beautiful in many ways, but I think it would actually take away from the sound. No disrespect to her, but when you add a face to the music, people focus on the face and not the sound or the skill.

She is skilled though.

I'd still take fingerstyle over using a pick. It adds to the sound and gives it more of a challenge and control. I gotta admit, even though I see you used the side of your fingers to pluck, that still had to hurt with nails. Every time I tried with long nails it felt like it was ripping them off.
