This is a performance of me during the Share Amsterdam festival, 2009. It was an evening of electronic arts, music, featuring a lot of programmers, live installations and performances (including this one)

The instrument is called a Cracklebox (or Kraakdoos in Dutch.) It was first created by Michel Waisvisz. It's a simple circuit build around an old op-amp, which creates different pops, crackles, beeps and other noises by touching certain points on the circuit with your fingers. I further extended the instrument to a structure of wood and metal poles, all connected to the points on the circuit, making it a playable and also visually aesthetic instrument.
