  • Saw these guys live. Sweeeet!

  • @TheJohnnyBE I agree...Nothing like seeing The "Original" Persuasions Live...I didn't care much for the Gil Torres lead Persuasions or the present one's for that matter but all good things come to an end sooner or later!!!! Thankx for the comment!!!!~!!!!

  • @MrKaydeepar3

I have a serious brain fart, didn't the persuasion do a version off "five hundred miles"

  • @trippleaaaaaaaaaa Yes they did,,,It's on the 1996 LP "Sincerely"

  • Thanks for the post. The Persuasions were a big influence on my group who started in 1978 as youngsters in Vacation Bible School. This is one of our favorite songs that we learned from them. The Persuasions are vastly underrated and deserve more recognition than they received. Jerry Lawson is awesome.

  • @herschelzboy I must agree but I also must admit that I'm biased because The Persuasions are in my top 3 of all-time favorite groups!!!! Jerry Lawson is a genius when it comes to arranging which he did throughout his years with The Persuasions..I hated that he left but it was time for them to part ways in order to keep peace!!! Jerry's wife Julie saw that I had claimed to have had All The Persuasions material then she e-mailed me a few New songs from Jerry's New Group...Pretty good stuff!!!!

  • @trippleaaaaaaaaaa

Actually partial to the song, whoever sings it. Singing about my alma mater, Father Flanigans Boys Home- Boystown Nebraska.

  • I remember long nights singing this with terry and dennis and guy rodney! so much fun thank you for posting this

  • @MrKaydeepar3 Yes, I heard Jerry's new group for the first time on that TV Show, Sing Along(?). They are awesome, too. I see he found a bass that sounds almost like the bass for The Persuasions.

  • @americankrystle This is a good one to like, not a bad song on it!!!!Thankx for the comment!!!!

  • @americankrystle A very underrated LP & group!!!!!! Thankx for the comment!!!!!
