At 0546 hours on 01/16/10, the Friday night duty crew was dispatched to a trailer fire at 6835 Boydton Plank Road. The crew was out of bed and on the road at 0548. At 0555 Engine 4 was on scene to find that is was directly across the street from the scene of a three trailer fire just 6 months earlier.
The first in crew, consisting of three fire fighters and one junior member, quickly had water on the fire and the majority knocked down prior to the arrival of Truck 4 and Engine 1.

With the arrival of additional crews the situation was marked under control with no injuries to any residents or fire personnel. Also, there was no damage to either of the adjacent exposures. The cool dry air mixed with an abnormally hot trailer fire made for interesting shots of the interior crew with steam visibly coming off of their gear. The thick residual steam from the extinguishment had to be removed before overhaul operations and can be seen with a good demonstraion of hydraulic ventilation.
