@TSF Just got my D10 today, and it's blowing my mind already... I can only imagine what a D-50 must be capable of :-)
-
@TSF Clearly, those Phonaks (familiar name - my gf has a Phonak SmartLink) are helping quite a bit - the subtlety of some of these patches requires a sharp ear ;-)

Is there an easy way that you know of to be able to download D50 patch sounds into a D-5?

Excellent patches, I love your videos!

Thanks for sharing! I have a D-550 that's not been used in 10 years. I replaced the bat but as you lost the pre-sets. I need the original patch 18. the "Dyno My Hammond" I'm playing in a Satana band and they don't care for the organ patches on my Technics kn7000. I wish I could find my sound card! Arghhhh
Great patches! I'm anxiously waiting for my Roland D-10 to arrive to experiment with it and my iPad. I've heard the D-10 isn't too impressive on it's own, but coupled with MIDI synths such as NLog Pro and Animoog, or with an effects processor, some amazing sounds can be extracted from it :-)
Btw, if you don't mind me asking, is that a hearing aid or a cochlear implant? My gf has CIs and I'm always amazed at the things she is able to hear (she can recognize Van Halen's "Jump" almost immediately)

@Firepowerforfreedom hi :) Awesome!. Yes I have two hearing aids for a bi-lateral sensory neural HL as a result of ototoxicity. They are Phonak Naida V U.Ps (purple). they are the highest power hearing aids they make in the series. They recommended that I get a CI for my left ear but since a hearing aids helps, I decided against it. the Phonak ones I have now, help me hear 250-3kHz, everything above 3k is 'transposed down' into my better hearing range. :)

what did you call the patch at 2:14? :)

@bloozeman101 HI :) On the D-50, I just called it "Random LFO" since the LFO I used to create the varying pitch was set to Random (in the P-Env). Random LFOs also sound awesome when routed to the filter with a high resonance setting. :)

The best thing to use for D-50 and Sysex is "D50 Librarian". I've had great luck with it.
It's free and you can save a complete image of all 64 patches, drop in new sets of 64 or single patches, rearrange, make best of mixes of patches, etc. Virtual PG-1000 too. d50librarian.co.uk

@synthystation Hi :) Yes! I have that editor, its the only computer related program I use with my D-50. So far I have just been able to send patches from D-50 to the editor, and also send a newly created patch to D-50 from the editor using the init patch. The virtual programmer is awesome! I have the real programmer and the virtual one is very good. :)
