Instructional cooking videos are probably more instructional if you can focus on cooking instead of holding the camera in one hand and distractedly poking at your pan with the other. Also, why combine the spices and sugar before adding them to the pan? They're both dry and going in at the same time, so it seems like you just want to wash another bowl.

@azn88hunni This is one of my first cooking videos I did, when I joined a recipe club where we did a new recipe each month, so I wasn't using a tripod yet. The only reason I combined the spices and sugar first was because the recipe said to. :) Otherwise I would probably do what you recommended.
