Jean was my teacher too. Yes, absolutly, he hates amps and for recording, he only plugs in the mixing desk, without FX, for sure. This guy is a really great bass man. He's got an amazing technical level that can impress a lot of us, bass players. I always have to say " Merci, Papa" (Everybody that knows him, would understand it)
