Well, the closest to "IT's" true form that we could ever see, anyway. The clown\spider is just a doorway, a living doorway. IT's reaching out from... somewhere else. Another plane of existence. Like H.P. Lovecraft's stories, which inspired "IT," to even glimpse at that impossible world beyond worlds will make you go insane, assuming that your mind doesn't totally collapse and you die.
