@sirmdlc Not necessarily. Most Civil Protection units either left the Combine regime during the uprising and joined with the Resistance or stayed with the Combine and combated the forces of both Rogue Metrocops (such as that malignant Barney) and the Citizens rising against them. Personally I would have joined Civil Protection and stay with the Combine. But that's just me. :)

@JellyChilliMustard Well it is still probably the safest place to be in half-life 2 universe.

In City 17 you get arrested for breaking the rules: Thoughts and Emotions. Any thoughts about the combine keeping the human race as slaves will get you arrested and executed, Any emotions will get you killed.. Soooo you like City 17 dont you.

@JellyChilliMustard also you'd have to sleep at night knowing that a Strider could easily fire through the window in your bedroom and turn you into a red stain on the bed and walls. But other than that i agree.

If i lived in city 17 i would join civil protection, not only to wear a cool looking uniform but also my apartment wouldnt get raided
