@82224561 It's my pleasure to share these with people such as you and pianopsych. It was very fortunate for me that I did have a chance to work with him and was be able to observe him a lot over a period of many years. His approach is within me all the time and guides me like a shining star. (By the way, I found out that his name, "Shtern" in German translates to English as "star"). Also, thanks, I will gladly watch the video of Denise Soriano and have a look at your channel.

Thanks for posting these, Eric. I feel privileged to have met Maestro Shtern. I love the ease with which he produces such a beautiful big tone, and his easy facility with some harrowingly difficult passage work. And thanks for listing all the works. I recognized the excerpts from the Sibelius, Tchaikovsky and Mendelssohn concertos, and, of course, the Chopin D-flat Major Nocturne.

@PianoPsych Robert, thanks for all your kind thoughts, respect and admiration for Mr. Shtern's playing. Part of the ease with which he produces this sound, I believe, is due to the tremendous equilibrium he has had since early childhood in physical skills, like playing the violin, or a little later, billiards. His musical, aesthetic motivation is realized assisted by a synchronization of the hands/fingers that is unlike any other violinist I have ever been aware of.
