This is some 8mm film footage I shot at Alamo Dragway in San Antonio, Texas with my dad's Kodak 8mm movie camera back in 1975. Please note that I was a young wienerschnitzel back then and I was just learning to use my dad's movie camera so alot of the scenes are shakey. Enjoy!

  • I still have a winston patch that Don Garlits gave me in the pits while match racing with Shirley Muhldowney in the 70's! They should of sold this place to Billy Meyer when they had the chance! He offered the brothers alot of money to build the Texas motorplex here in S.A. but they declined thinking they knew what they were doing! Now the badass motorplex is in Ennis!

  • @yukons95 I agree with you, I wish we still had a Drag strip here in San Antonio. It was a great place to be on a Saturday night - well, next to being at The Mission 4 Drive-In with a date -lol. Thanks for watching.

  • thank you for this video!!!!!

  • @BadRadicalZO6 Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching.

  • Brings back a lot of memories! I remember the white Camaro and was there the night it crashed at the end of the run. That car was badass! Saw Gene Snow's Vega, Blue Max and Big Daddy race there.

  • Nice video! I saw tommy kendricks rail, the red rat chevelle that had awesome races with the godfather camaro! Johnny Lunas funny! The only one missing was a dragster run by Don Metz! He was awesome also! I remeber having to wait for them to push the dragsters or funny cars down the track then back to push start them!
