What does the salt do?

@Pinoy8250 Flavoured gelatin has sugar in it and may become sticky when you use it, and kind of defeats the purpose of making you clean lol.

im about to try this out! instead of using shower gel i am going to grate a bar of soap into the gelatine instead, i am hoping it will melt in the hot water! wish me luck!! :)

@Pinoy8250 no you can't because flavored jello is mostly sugar and has food products and chemicals in which are not good for your skin.

Can i use a flavored gelatine instead?? Plz reply

I made some of this today with a different non-lush soap....I am so obsessed with these so i keep watching all of the videos aha-and mines not even set yet! haha. I just realized i was so excited I forgot the salt though..lmfao. But it bound together well anyway.
they don't have to be kept in the refrigerator? I'm wondering because I've made some-several different batches actually and they all formed nicely but within a minute or two after packaging they melt. I've tried different ways of packaging too and they still melt...any advice?

@mommyserenity I always keep mine in the fridge so it has no problem. I put it in a plastic container with a tight lid and then keep it in the fridge. ;) it's last a long long time.

Yes they are fun. I mad. Another one today too. I used baby shampoo the non fragrance kind with the olive branch from Lush. Seems to work just fine. I forgot the salt on that batch too but it lathers really well. ;)
