These are my very reliable home and personal defense tools my Ruger P95... bought it brand new 3 years ago shot more than 10,000 rounds through it and still looks brand new and functions flawlessly. In addition, I bought a 32 round extended magazine (Promag) from a gunshow about 3 weeks ago shot about 300 rounds using it with no problems what so ever. The best 9mm pistol for the price. Ruger firearms are really built like tanks. And for a "not-a-spur-of-the-moment" home defense scenario is my Romanian WASR 10/63 AK47 bought this 3 months ago shot around 1500 rounds throught it with no problems at all. Im very lucky with my purchase of this WASR no canted sights or gas tube and no mag wobble if the magazine is loaded very little if not loaded. Very reliable and powerful weapon system chambered with the 7.62x39mm round it sure is the best rifle in the world. Why spend so much in an AK47 when a Romanian WASR 10/63 won't break the bank? Point is, you don't have to spend too much for an effective and reliable personal and home defense tool/s. There are many alternatives on what type of weapon system you want to own whether a pistol or rifle regardless of what caliber you can handle. Nowadays, it is better to be protected with more money in the bank.

  • Add a 12 gauge.

  • @MrSteveParr Probably, for now these two will do. Thanks for the comment.

  • I have just about the same setup, instead of the WASR 10/63, I found a Bulgarian AK 74M at a local gun store and fell in love with it. I've had it for about a year and have not had one promlem with it I've added some accessories on my AK and posted a video about it, Check it out on my channel and tell me what you think, Good lookin set of guns you got tho, OH! and I also have the Ruger P95 with the extended pro mag, can't beat em'. Long live Kalishnikov's,

  • @MagicCaliber Thank you. Honestly, if I have enough funds in my pocket I would not hesitate to purchase an AK74... good choice... what you have is the caliber that most well versed firearm enthusiasts call the "poison bullet" because 5.45x39 is very effective and has longer range with minimal recoil. You're right... LONG LIVE KALASHNIKOV!

  • Nice...I have the p90 and it is a TANK. I recently purchased the Saiga chambered in .223. I can't be happier with the AK platform. The Saiga only cost me $299, but after all the mods, I now have a total of $500 in the gun and it is bad ass.

  • @GiaAshe Nice!!! Quality in firearms are not classified by its price unlike buying a washing machine... in my opinion, Ruger and Russian AKM weapons are at par the equivalent of value and perfection. Thanks for the comment.

  • @Glasgow1270 Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against tactical lights as a matter of fact my P95 has one but not with my WASR.

  • My WASR is my "trunk gun." Could end up being used for anything. For home defense I use my G22 and if I had time I would grab the Saiga 12 which also has a Fenix TK-12. I have lights on them so I don't accidently shoot the wrong person. Again, get out at night and shoot without a light against someone with one and you'll become a light lover really fast.

  • @Glasgow1270 Because SWAT is synonimous to CQB(Close Quarter Battle) that's why they to have a tac light mounted on their primary weapon so for ordinary civilian home defense tac light mounted rifle is unnecessary in my own opinion it just add weight to the weapon. Plus, if conditions call for SWAT's presence for sure the enemy combatant is armed and dangerous(crazy). LOL.

  • @ringgoamanda Another thing I consider is how police SWAT teams and military special forces equip their weapons. You're not going to find one of them without a tactical light mounted.
