Somewhat reminds me of Qu's Marsh in FF9, both kinda drum-ish

@shenloken2 I actually thought VII is more futuristic than X.
-
@AlinaAnn VII is a mixture between the present and the not too distant future with it's cyber punk feel: while VIII has a feel like it took place between the 50's-80's.
X and after is extremely futuristic.

I want this game on 3DS. Both V and VI, in fact. Those two are my favorite Final Fantasies, I like them both so much that I can't possibly choose one over another.
-
You mean VII and VIII on what I think of them or what time period they take place in?
Well I like em both. I believe 'VIII' took place in the 'Cold War/Space Age' era of the 50's thru the 80s. Settings and clothing styles seems to suggest that.
'VII' is no doubt taking place during present times as society begins to decay under greedy bureaucratic rule and technology leaving people destitute.
-
@shenloken2 Totally, you describe them well. Those are my favourite FFs. What about VII and VIII's, do you think? As for X and after, I'm not too fond of them, they're too futurey for me.

@masterplusmargarita "Never was kept in Japan" was meant to be "Was kept in Japan" or "Never went outside Japan". Sorry for that.
-
Shame this never was kept in Japan, I personally think V is about as good as VI.
-
Reminds me of Asterix which you also posted.

Exdeath disliked this.
While final Fantasy doesn't seem to follow any timeline; the settings are oddly reminiscent of certain periods of history. VI was something like the 'Industrial Age'; 'IV' had that Renaissance feel to it as IX had that Victorian feel to it.
V has that '17th-18th' century feel. It's like Final Fantasy's settings are like pages from history.
