@devman224224 rides rough, removed the front bead lock and that smoothed it out some. on the street, eats tires if mostly offroad knobs. likes to pull the wheel up almost to 4th gear so sit high up on the seat. Stock tank about 65 miles. other than that, i would buy another one...

i just wonder if the stock carb set up is good or does it need to be reset with different jets

IS IT A MUST TO DO A RE-JET FROM STOCK?

Do this work on my exc 250-f (2007) ?

Not sure I have never worked on a 640 smc but you can pull the muffler apart like you are going to repack it and see if there are any similarities in terms of restrictors and cut them off. You should repack your muffler as a maintenance item anyway every once in a while. There is a service interval for this anyway. Good Luck!

I replaced the Exhaust FMF Q-4. Installed JD jet kit installed. All done at the dealership time of purchase. They even put a bigger battery in it more amps and still wont start ktm flew out a tech to fix it started for him after he worked on it. Still wont start cold will kill the battery every time

You have to get rid of the pollution control first. If the carbon canister is harboring gas the engine sucks it back in at start up, then floods. Also take the screw out of the catch can between the swingarm and the engine. It can fill with fuel and do the same thing. These should fix the problem. A dealer cannot remove your pollution control for you, not allowed. Some bikes had a defective cam decompressor the new cam # 78636010033 @ $211.14 may be under warranty. Do the cheap stuff first!
