In an incredibly misguided attempt at rejuvenating sales at the seen-better-days South Hills Mall, co-owners Sammy and Taylor Coleridge set out to create a TV spot so hip and 'with it' that the fickle South Poughkeepsie youth would clamber over each other to get a chance to shop at its many fine stores, like K-Mart.

This is that attempt.

With sincere apologies to the filmakers' great-great-great-great uncle, Samuel Taylor Coleridge.

  • The last time I was in this mall was in July, 1979. There was a pinball machine arcade on the west side. They also had primative videogames there like, Asteroids and..........hmmmmm? There was a Sears security guard who used to follow people demanding to search their bags. I watched, as my friends gave him the finger and walked away laughing. My friend and I also roped off an aisle in K-Marts using a "Stretch Armstrong's" arms. Ah, yes..the South Hills Mall.

  • What do you mean Fun Central? Fun Central was never in the South Hills Mall...it's still on rt. 9 Wappingers. Are you talking about Dream Machine & Dream Machine 2? They were the two arcade in SHM...the big one by K-Mart and the little guy by Sears near where the movie theatre still is

  • @Therealslimshadysmd IKR! its bullshit

  • this shit was poppin in the 70s/80s. basically the first indoor mall in Dutchess County (aside from Dutchess mall which was always shit, nbd). Don't be joking about it though, this place was practically home to most teens and others back in the day. RIP.

  • @jkrb05 they replaced it with a furniture store and a fucking christmas tree shop...WTF IS THAT SHIT?!

  • Two words....Dream Machine! If you know what I'm talking about, you're old.

  • This, sadly...used to be the place to go back in the 80's. Glad they are redoing it...fucking depressing to go in there before it was torn down.

  • I miss it. It sucks now..

They got rid of the bookstore.

    Crappy. D:

  • 2 dolla movies !
