Conditions are not shitty and CEO's aren't ripping everybody off everywhere.
These workers all have the power to control their own destiny and if they choose to continue working for someone they feel is exploiting them, then that's their own fault.

Where? It's like that everywhere. Wages are pretty much the same for similar jobs all across a region, and if you move somewhere where pay is higher, it's because the cost of living in that region is also higher, so you'll likely end up with *less* money at the end of the day instead of more.

That's what it needs, people on the streets & writing to their elected reps demanding that the banksters be dealt with or else they'll be out next vote.

good advice

I have all of those things and I am not in a union. What could be the difference between someone like me and someone who does not get those same benefits?
-
I know...that's pretty bad. I'd go work somewhere else if that were happening to me.

Your 2 party system is the problem America.
Your nieghbour to the north's multi party Parlimentary system is a real example of people power where the government
rightly fears the people.
You've become a filthy Plutocracy in the worlds eyes America.

Crap. What TRNN and POWER are suggesting is nothing less than socializing all work. It's absurd, and will only make things worse for more people, not better.

What's preventing workers from starting and operating these industries you've mentioned? Is the government keeping them from starting businesses?
The things you take for granted...
40 hr work week, benefits, a decent wage, child labor laws, workman's comp, paid vacation, pension plans... Basically the things organized labor fought for to separate us from third world nations...
Also now more than ever a way that the public can influence industry toward doing beneficial things as opposed to just profit chasing...
ie. renewable green energy, bringing back manufacturing, and better domestic regulatory policies...

I've been saying what this guy says for a long time - the left needs to stop being apologetic and it needs a new vision and above all it needs to mobilize for battle.
