Slavic nations are countries that share a common culture, common linguistic family, and common ethnic bond. Each Slavic ethnicity is part of the larger Slavic world, one which has evolved over centuries and form different culture existing today.

Slavs are united by pre-Christian and Christian unity. While the idea of Pan-Slavism and a Slav Union has collapsed after Yugoslavia's breakup, and sequential inter-ethnic conflicts and historic conflicts, Slavs still appreciate their cultural heritage that they can even respect in the worse of times - even when they have been at war.

For some, real Slavic unity may never come until there is a political and economic revolution and change within Slav majority nations. And, until the squabbles of the past is supplemented by true Slavic governments seeking real cultural unity, which does not exist today.

  • @centralsun3939 well first they dont speak a language that share enough slavic words. and lithuanians are in another branch of proto slavs or something like that.

  • so Romanians aren't slavs? And why arent Lithuanians considered slavs?

  • @onelittlesmile1 okay agree to disagree. but just out of curiousity where are you from?

  • @onelittlesmile1 wtf are you talking about...honestly one thing that pisses me off most is slavs that hate on russians and blame russia for all their problems. Russians are the biggest slavic nation, and so they are naturally going to be the leader of any Slavic state and take the lead in the pan-Slavic movement. Moscow will be our capital, and most likely Russian the language we learn in schools, along with our own slavic dialects (polish, serbian etc.)
