Is this camcorder better than the Flip and Sanyo Xacti?

Question: Can you do 60fps in 1080p or only 720p? How's the battery life? What about low light performance? What is the recording time?

60fps is only in 720p. I haven't personally used the camera enough to ware out the batter, but it's supposed to last around two hours. Low light performance is god awful. The recording time is based on the SDHC card you buy, it's not really mean to store much on its own.

Also, new batteries are cheap which is a plus.
Overall, I think it is worth the money, but maybe isn't a steal because of the low light quality as well as some other stuff. I have been debating every since I got it if I want to bring it back, not I thinks it's too late, but I don't have total regret.

Do you use your Aiptek GVS for outdoor or indoor more?
I want to buy this camcorder for outdoor use. Do you think i should get it?

I actually use it for indoor more, I think, just because that's where I happen to be. The quality is better for outside because of the light. What surprised me is how often I use it to take pictures. I very much undervalued the multi-function when I bought it. I fit it in my purse and I can use it whatever.
Would I recommend it for the price? Ultimately, yes, but I've gotten used to my camera and I don't know much about camcorders in the first place.
Bottom line--a much better outdoor cam
