@RaananVolesPianist Wow! It's great someone else remembers the TCS. I've been in periodic correspondence with Joe Marchesani; we email back and forth every now and then. He's still in Iowa and I've been in New Orleans for the past 30 years. Not exactly doo wop cities but, thanks to YouTube, it's now wherever you happen to be. I love it.

Gonna rock, gonna roll, rhythm and blues, thrill my soul, oh pretty baby, can't you see, it's WFUV. Time (di di di di di di di) Capsule (di di di di di di di) Show!

After hearing this terrific song I might change my choice for all time favorite doo wop I I have set up a way for everyone to chose one all time greatest doo wop of the fifties four categories all black group, all white group, mixed group and duet. Originally I was going to post the choices before December 23 2012 when the Mayan Calendar Says the world will end. But recently I may have found an error in the scientists calculations. They may have forgotten next year is a leap year. Duh

I first heard this song in the early '60s on the Time Capsule Show on WFUV-FM in NYC. It was traditional for Tom Luciani and Joe Marchesani to lead off each show with an uptempo number and this was one of them. I finally managed to snag a copy of it on a reissue many years later. What a great rocker!

Yes! This was a staple on Don K. Reed's "Doo Wop Shop" on WCBS-FM for many years. First heard this rockin' gem in the late '70's, and have loved it more and more since. That sax is just awesome! Thanks so much for posting!
