Sometime ago comedian, Jimmy Kimmel, made a joke about "people you thought were dead but are not" (it sounds grim but was funny). From some posts here I get impression some may think Fats is no longer among the living. He is still alive. However, Fats living in New Orleans at the time (& still may be) of Hurricane Katrina was initially thought & reported dead due to the storm & ensuing flooding. Don't know if he's still performing, but he is still very much alive, kicking & hopefully singing!

Hey Nocaro, the man was unstoppable in the 50s and continued his winning ways in the early 60s but there's no need telling you this.. It's good that he's still around, he survived Katrina, though not much of his possessions but we still have him, thank God for that. Thanks for this video and the memories, Jimmy
