Joint Legislative Hearing Feb. 25, 2010. Pt. 2 of 4 - Proponents' Presentations
This hearing includes passionate testimony by brave California legislators, city and agency officials and citizens standing up to PG&E, one of the most powerful corporations in the U. S., about Prop. 16 .
Deceptively marketed by PG&E with a $35 million P.R. budget as safeguarding 'tax-payer rights,' Prop 16's real aim is to halt the spread of publicly-owned, non-profit, greener power systems, eliminate competition, and make the giant utilitiy's status as an unregulated private monopoly a permanent part of California's constitution.
It uses ratepayer money to hoodwink voters/taxpayers into giving PG&E unlimited power to raise rates and utimately be the ONLY choice for electricity in its territory.
This is public domain official government video footage presented in four unedited parts as a public service.
