Originally, Sonic 2 and Sonic CD were supposed to be the same game, but when the majority of Sonic Team went to work at STI in America, Sonic CD became a totally different game directed by the Sonic creator, Naoto Ohshima, in Japan. In my opinion, I think Sonic CD was intended to be a complete remake of Sonic 1 on Genesis/Mega Drive because of the Sonic 1 sprite and heavy similarites in level designs.

2:06: Actually, in this game, that little Sonic indicated that you earned an extra life. Sonic CD has infinite continues from the RAM on the game.

No problem. I only wish you guys could have talked about the time-travel changes to the Eggman statue in Stardust Speedway, Zone 2 (I'm sure you know what I mean).
Also, the cavern background in Quartz Quadrant's Past looks like the one from Tidal Tempest's Past. Could this mean that both levels are directly connected?

I had actually looked that up before recording, but it slipped my mind when we did. It happens a lot in this LP actually. >>
Possibly. They're all located on the same tiny Little Planet.
