CTLS (CT Light Sport Aircraft) runs on petrol. In just 15 Lts of petrol it can fly for 2 hours. Amazing cute machine.

  • $153,000 is not the cheapest airplane anywhere.

  • Obviously the people complaining about price have never actually looked in to buying an aircraft before. This is incredibly inexpensive.

  • @Cowcharge it is in the scheme of things.

  • get a used cessna 152 great shape around $30.000usd

  • @Cowcharge I think the title should have been "cheapest to Operate".. I think that's what he meant because in the desc it says, "15 Lts of petrol it can fly for 2 hours"

  • The cheapest certified airplane was an Ercoupe at $10,500

  • Cheap? How so? I can get a nice used PA28-161 like I learned to fly in for less than $50k so if you want to own a plane you can certainly do it for less than $153k.

  • @skipsassy1 have you ever had the chance to fly one?

  • @naval8viator you can buy ultralight aircrafts for 35-50.000$. The CTLS is one of the most expensive in his class, but it worths every dollar.

  • @SinanZiric Never.

  • Compared to a lot of aircraft, it IS relatively cheap, but it is FAR from being the "cheapest aircraft in the world!"

  • Why are planes so expensive, i have heard that Cirrus sell around 300~ a year, thats extremly low! it has been 100 years of flying by now, when we will have cheaper planes ? like cars...
