As the first step in making a reproduction of a page of a medieval manuscript, I create prick-marks on the margin of the parchment. These will serve as a guide when I create ruling lines later.

  • @xmasjd look up pergamina. they sell many types of parchment. ill tell yah, the stuff ain't cheap. you *can* how ever, buy goat skin rawhide from the leather factory or tandy leather. not sure wht name its under so google both. i think they're like $15 a hide. they're in a roll so you'll have to use a damp sponge so you can flatten them out. then go from there and finish the parchment process as it's usually done. hope tht helps.

  • Where is the parchment from? I am having troubles finding some.
