mother and son

Quick digital painting done as a gift for my mom and my little brother. Original time was a little over one hour. It's done using only the palette knife tool in photoshop cs3. The music is Janis Joplin.

I've looked through most his works (as you can see I've been subscribing to him as well). He is amazingly skilled, and I think his fantasywork is brilliant. But I think digital photorealism is highly overrated, and should be considered no more than practice. Real life photorealism (such as when using only pencil) is more interesting, but still: Interpretations of real life are more interesting than imitations.
