I think you should have reported them but that's one of MY principles.
PS I don't believe the Bible is the word of God.

As a Muslim, my main manual for life is the Quran which teaches to not lie, not cheat, not hurt those who don't want to hurt you, practice forgiveness, kindness to those who are not believers and more... those who love God love the people and care for everyone and things. Sacrifice for the sake of Allah/God is what we muslims do to make the world better. Allah said in the Quran that in order to change the situation of a community of people, the people need to change their situation.
